Contactology seeks a sales superhero who’s passionate about connecting marketers and developers with a robust email marketing software.

We’ll supply a top-rated technology platform, great leads and an opportunity to grow with one of the more established software companies in Durham, NC.  You bring the desire to earn, ability to learn and talent for innovative selling.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for understanding current trends in email and digital marketing
  • Develop expert and ongoing working knowledge of company SaaS platform and the features/benefits
  • Develop (with assistance), prioritize and manage a  sales pipeline to grow revenue with new accounts targeting specific vertical markets
  • Qualify and convert inbound leads to revenue generating customers
  • Generate new leads through research, networking and outbound activities. including 50 phone calls a day
  • Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly/yearly revenue goals
  • Provide online demos for prospective customers and occasionally provide in-person demos for key prospects
  • Qualify inbound leads to determine proper sales funnel
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
  • Travel (approx 10%) to various trade shows to identify leads and build relationships
  • Capture contact and marketing information for tracking and reporting; maintain detailed documentation of account communication; and document prospect information, including detailed and accurate notes regarding conversations and critical updates
  • Develop and maintain department reports for sales tracking, order prospecting and analysis as well as maintain statistics of calls made and successes achieved

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service and customer relations skills
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable verbal persuasive phone skills with ability to use such skills in achieving sales goals
  • Must be comfortable communicating and being able to form strong relationships with key decision makers over the telephone
  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years of telephone sales experience, preferably with a technology or SaaS provider
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills combined with ability to provide quick resolution to problem
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic with hunter instincts
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention-to-detail
  • Multi-tasker with ability to prioritize multiple sales opportunities and tasks simultaneously

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in Sales

Preferences:

  • Experience with Salesforce, social media and other SaaS applications
  • Email marketing, digital advertising or related experience
  • 2 years’ experience representing a SaaS/Online platform to digital agencies, marketer’s product mangers or developers

Compensation:

  • Base Salary + Commission & Bonus
