As Product Manager, you will build products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your contact with customers and prospects and your industry experience. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market and then define those solutions in specifications that can be used by multiple departments as the guiding light on how and why we are building what we are building.

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with customers, support, account management and sales to undestand the market need.  You will work with UI / UX lead to determine optimal user experience. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements and schedules.  You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy.  You will communicate the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer to all internal and external stakeholders. 


Core Responsibilities

  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
  • Owning the development of specifications for features from “User story” to “UI Mocks” to “Release Notes”
  • Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.
  • Creating process to managing the product development lifecycle in a startup environment.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 3+ years of software marketing/product management experience.
  • Excellent writer and communicator that enjoys thinking like a customer.
  • Knowledgeable in technology.
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experience a strong plus.
  • Great deal of experience in online marketing space.  Indepth knowledge of Email Marketing, SEO, PPC, CRM, Social Media and how they “fit together” a huge plus.
